Which tool should I start with?

If you know your birth time, start with the full birth chart reading — everything else on the site reads better once you have seen your own chart. If you don't know it, the no-birth-time reading is built for exactly that case. If you already know your placements and want dates rather than description, the Saturn return calculator and the astrocartography map are the two that answer 'when' and 'where'.

What does “real chart math” actually mean here?

Every position on this site comes from an ephemeris computation — the same class of calculation an astrologer's professional software runs — not from a table of pre-written horoscopes. Houses use Placidus, aspects use real orbs, and the transit engine finds exact crossing dates by bisection. The AI only interprets numbers that were computed first; it is never asked to invent a date or a degree.

Why nine tools instead of one?

Because the questions are genuinely different. A birth chart describes a person, synastry describes a pair, a Saturn return is a window in time, astrocartography is a question about place. Bolting all of that into one form would produce a worse answer to each. Each tool computes only what its own question needs, which is also why they all stay fast and free.
